Happy Saturday! I know I don’t normally write on the weekends but this was stirring in my heart as I lay awake at 4 a.m. this morning. Be blessed my sweet friends. Our journey is not over, our journey is today.

Have you ever considered all the things your hands do in a day? Hands stir the pot of oatmeal. Hands knead bread dough. Hands soothe a crying child. Hands embrace a spouse. Hands touch fabric as each item enters the washing machine. Hands pick up the phone and flip the pages of the well-worn Bible. Hands press the white keys of a piano. Up and down motion as hands knit a scarf. Hands clean the food off the table and hands press a bandage on a toddler wound.

Every day hands, our hands give and take. Hands wipe the tear from our cheek. Hands write a note to a friend. Hands wave good-bye. And hands blow a kiss.

Hands. Our hands are an extension of the heart. Hands say words the heart can never speak through our lips.

Hands heal. Hands love. Our hands a journey from the soul. How we use our hands. How we guide them each day is a reflection, a telling of the heart’s deepest places.

What are your hands saying? What messages are coming up from your heart?

What are we telling our children, spouses and friends even when we are not speaking a word?

Proverbs 3:3 Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. NLT

Psalm 24:3-5 Who shall ascend the hill of the LordAnd who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. NLT
