You are worth it!

Yes, I am talking about you! Truly, you are worth it!

Doesn’t that just warm you, fill you? Hearing those words. Like rain after a drought, sight to a blind man, water in the desert. You are worth it!

Recently my husband said those words to me. Wrapping me in his long arms he said, “You are worth it.” I looked up at him questioningly, “what does that mean?” He smiled gently, “Everything: the fun, the hugs, the difficulties, the tears, the kisses…you are worth it all to me.”

I pondered this for days. Everything!? This man does not find me to be a burden, problem, weight, a mad woman. He is happy with me, delights in having me near him. I am worth it to him even on the hard days. Even when life stinks, work is demanding and the baby and I have both been crying. I am worth love. Wow!

But its true. We are all worth love and affection. Our Creator loves us and wants to bathe us in that truth.

Lately God has been using my husband to bathe me, refresh me in this truth. He may be using another way in your life. Through a child, in nature, a gift on your door step, a rainbow. Whatever it is He is speaking love to you.

You are worth it! Worth His Son coming as man. Worth the stories and miracles of His power. Worth the nails driven through flesh. Worth His resurrection. Worth pursuing. Worth the giving of the Holy Spirit. Worth working as Intercessor. You are worth it…Everything. You are loved!

Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ESV

Titus 3:4-7 But “when God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” NLT
