How would you define prayer? What does prayer mean to you?

Prayer is something I have struggled with throughout my walk with the Lord. Some days prayer feels like second nature and other days it is a struggle. A struggle to let go. To give God my heart through prayer. To trust Him with my thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Prayer is laying my hopes, dreams and desires at the feet of Jesus. Prayer to me is humbling. Prayer is my heart given to God through words and thoughts.

As a mom, I have found that prayer is a must to get through every day. God is shaping my Christain prayer life on this mommying journey.

Most days my prayers, my requests feel small, meaningless to a great and powerful God. Like today for example. My prayers carried hopes like help my daughter to fall asleep on the way to the grocery store, give me patience with the toddler that peed on the floor again! And more…give my baby peace to fall asleep without crying, strength my heart to do this mommy thing right, help me not fall apart.

Simple. Prayers to get through the mundane days of littles. However, today as I witnessed God answering these little prayers I was touched. Moved in awe. This God of mine loves me. He cares about toddler pee on the floor and babies sleeping. Why? Because He cares about me. He cares about my daughters.

The God of the universe hears and answers your prayers because you are everything to Him. Absolutely everything!

He came as a man and died for us. If that isn’t love, what is?

God loves you, Daughter. God cares about your hopes, dreams and desires.
