Have you ever thought about your life with the Holy Spirit? I mean really dwelt on that reality. Holy Spirit–part of the trinity. Therefore, God inside of you! Wow, what a gift!
John 14:15-18 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.” ESV
We are never alone. On our best days and worst, God is with us. In fact, in us! Thoughts like… “I can’t do this! I am messed up, weak, not capable.” Thoughts as these are lies, lies, lies. The TRUTH: You might not be able to do it, but the ONE who lives inside of you…He can! The Holy Spirit is our Helper, Advocate, and source of strength.
Recently, I was attending a conference. The entire weekend at the conference I felt full. The Spirit’s presence was real to me. God was speaking and moving in me. Then I thought, “why don’t I feel this everyday?” God is in me every day. Every day I have access to His power. Every day He speaks to me. And yet, do I hear God every day? Do I feel moved by His Spirit?
The Holy Spirit isn’t just for the highs. The Holy Spirit isn’t only present at conferences, churches, or when someone lays hands on you and prays. No, the Holy Spirit power is for every day. Everyday…He is with you, in you…Everyday. We all have access to Holy Spirit power every day. It is up to us to choose… lies or the truth…
It’s so easy for me to rush into my day and not take those first minutes to sit quietly with my Lord and listen to what He has to say to me for the day. I need His reminders of who He is and what He can do through me, filling my mind with His Truth. Therefore, making no room for the lies of Satan. Thanks for the encouragement and accountability to stay on track.
