As a little girl, I admired my daddy. He was hard working, strong, and stable. \u00a0I followed him through the barn as he turned on the water to each cow pen. I stood right next to him as he pitched hay into the feeding troughs. I sat on his lap as he maneuvered the skid steer. And I jumped into the wheel barrel\u00a0as he hauled grain across the drive.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was right there…following daddy, next to daddy, on his lap, and near him. I loved to do whatever daddy was doing.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Growing from little girl to teen and young woman changed things. I still respected\u00a0my dad. I still admired his qualities but in reality, I could not always be at his side. While I couldn’t physically be with my dad I did know he was always there. When I moved away for college I still called him when I had car trouble or needed to make a big decision. He could not come to me. He didn’t have the answers but he was comfort, encouragement, and safety. I always knew who I was with daddy. I always knew I was his little girl whether in his arms or thousands of miles away.\u00a0I would always be his little girl.\u00a0<\/p>\n
God wants us to feel the same and more about Him. He is our Daddy, Father. He is the One we will never outgrow. We will never be too old, too big to follow Him, be at His side, sit on His lap, and be near Him. We never outgrow our heavenly Daddy!<\/strong><\/p>\n Our Father and Savior is comfort, encouragement, and safety. We can rely on and turn to our Daddy in time of need. He will listen. The answer may not always come right away but we are known in the presence\u00a0of our Father God. We are daughters. We are known.\u00a0<\/p>\n He knows you. You are His\u00a0daughter. Whether your earthly Father was a good example or not you have a Father. A Father who created you, loves you and wants you to be near Him. You are Daddy’s girl!<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n 1 Corinthians 8:3\u00a0But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.<\/em> ESV<\/p>\n Psalm 139:17-18\u00a0How precious are your thoughts about me,\u00a0O God.\u00a0<\/span>They cannot be numbered!<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/sup>I can\u2019t even count them;\u00a0<\/span>they outnumber the grains of sand!\u00a0<\/span><\/span>And when I wake up,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>you are still with me!<\/em> NLT<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n 2 Timothy 2:19\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>But God\u2019s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: \u201cTheLord<\/span> knows those who are his,\u201d\u00a0and \u201cAll who belong to the Lord<\/span> must turn away from evil.\u201d<\/em> NLT<\/p>\n Psalm 139 15-16\u00a0You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,\u00a0<\/span>as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>You saw me before I was born.\u00a0<\/span>Every day of my life was recorded in your book.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Every moment was laid out\u00a0<\/span><\/em>before a single day had passed.<\/em> NLT<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Matthew 6:26\u00a0Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
