Yesterday was one of those days when nothing seemed to go right. My daughter’s nose was running all over and she reacted to her symptoms with great drama. It was raining. The road was closed due to rain. I was late. I felt totally\u00a0incompetent at something I love doing. I burnt dinner. Well, you catch my drift.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the middle of it all, I kept crying out to God. Are You here right now? Do You see me? Do You care? Can You just bail me out of one thing, ONE Thing?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Why does life feel incredibly difficult some days?<\/p>\n
As I stood there in front of others doing something I love doing fear was gripping me. “I am a failure. I can’t even complete this task in front of these people. They are relying on me.” With blood pulsing and my face going flush I just wanted to run. Run into the other room and scream or cry or maybe both.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Why? Why was I finding this usual float on the lake to be more like a Niagara Falls?\u00a0<\/p>\n
Taking a deep breath I knew I needed to calm down inside. I needed to relax. I was not going to be successful with fear wrapping me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
I began to pray. “God, I know You are here. I know You are with me. I know You can help me complete this task, be successful. Lord, I trust You. I trust that You are with me and that You are good to me <\/strong>in this moment.”\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Within seconds of finishing that prayer everything inside me changed. I was calmer. I started thinking clearly. Fear was conquered and my “job” before me began to fall into place. Success was reached.\u00a0<\/p>\n My lesson yesterday…God is near, always. God cares, always. It is a matter of me choosing, choosing to reach out to Him.
